| WHAT IS TWISTED KINGDOM? Twisted Kingdom is a multi-fandom RPG which takes place among the forty-seven square miles of the Walt Disney World resort in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. It's also based loosely on Ridley Pearson's Kingdom Keepers series. WHAT FANDOMS ARE ALLOWED? Twisted Kingdom is a multi-fandom based game. The only fandoms that are not allowed are characters that don't have a fandom, bi/tri/quad/etc fandoms (example: Harry Potter and Torchwood original characters; Harry Potter, Torchwood, and X-Men original characters; Harry Potter, Torchwood, X-Men, and Twilight original characters, etc), or those from Disney/Disney-Pixar movies and television shows (i.e. Wizards of Waverly Place, Hannah Montana, High School Musical, Lilo and Stitch, Toy Story, Finding Nemo, Beauty and the Beast, etc.). WHAT'S THE POLICY ON BISEXUAL/GAY/LESBIAN CHARACTERS? Not every character is going to be one, but the game does allow for bisexual, gay, and lesbian characters. WHAT'S THE POLICY ON ALTERNATE UNIVERSE (AU) OR YOUNGER CHARACTERS? No AU versions of characters are allowed. For example, since there's a Dean Winchester from the Supernatural fandom in game, this bans the Croatoan!future Dean and Terrible Life!Dean from being played. Younger versions of characters in-game are not allowed as well. An example of this would be playing teenage!Sam Winchester when there's already a Sam Winchester in game. WHAT IF MY CHARACTER IS TEN YEARS OLD AND DON'T HAVE ANY PARENTS OR OLDER SIBLING(S) IN GAME? DO THEY NEED TO HAVE SOMEONE WATCH THEM? Yes. Another character could find them, and they can stay together until a parent or older sibling enters the game. SO MY CHARACTER IS RANDOMLY PULLED FROM THEIR HOME? Yes. Because of a wish that was made, your character is pulled from their home and will start their adventure in front of Cinderella's Castle in the Magic Kingdom park. Here they are given a "welcome packet" of sorts that consists of a book bag that has maps of the parks, hotels, their room key to a pre-assigned room at one of the resorts, and a laptop computer. If your character uses a cell phone, that will be brought with them as well. WHAT WAS THE WISH? In the Kingdom Keepers series, Maleficent was gathering followers called Overtakers (mainly Disney villains) took over the parks when the turnstiles stopped turning. In this game, Maleficent made a wish for it to be night time every day, and no light to shine through the land. The darkest point is in the middle of the property are the Boardwalk Inn resort, Beach Club resort, Yacht Club resort, and all of the countries located in EPCOT, while the lightest points (dusk-dark) are those on the outskirts (Downtown Disney, Animal Kingdom, and Pop Century) WILL MALEFICENT SHOW UP AND HURT MY CHARACTER? No. If she should show up and nobody else is around to help your character, he or she will fall into a deep sleep and will be inactive for a 48 hour period, and will be taken back to their room. There will be announced threads with Maleficent. WILL OVERTAKERS SHOW UP AND HURT MY CHARACTER? No. If an Overtaker shows up, they will take your character to Maleficent, and they will be inactive for a period of 24 hours from the time that they're taken. CAN MY CHARACTER BECOME AN OVERTAKER? If they stumble upon Maleficent on their own (not in a controlled thread), they will have the opportunity to ask to become one if Maleficent feels that she can trust them. WHAT ABOUT MONEY/FOOD/CLOTHING/PARK TICKETS? Not to worry. The room key also doubles as a charge card with unlimited funds, as well as access to the Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney-MGM Studios, and Animal Kingdom theme parks; Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon water parks; DisneyQuest, and Pleasure Island. Please note that only those 18 and older can enter the clubs at Pleasure Island, while those of all ages can attend the street party. OH, COOL. SO MY UNDER-AGE CHARACTER CAN GO CLUBBING AND DRINKING? Absolutely not. Anyone younger than 18 that wishes to be on Pleasure Island while the clubs are open must have parental or guardian supervision. All 18-20 year olds have a special code already programmed into their room key that would alert the cast members and their hand will be stamped so they cannot be served alcohol. Anyone of legal age (21) and older will be permitted to buy/consume alcohol. MY CHARACTER WANTS TO CHANGE RESORTS TO BE CLOSER TO THEIR FAMILY/FRIENDS/SIGNIFICANT OTHER. HOW CAN I DO THAT? When you first put in your application, you must pick a different resort other than where your family/friends/significant other is staying. After two weeks, you may change resorts to one that they're staying at, but only if you have the mod's consent. WHAT IF I DON'T KNOW WHAT TYPE OF FOOD A PARTICULAR RESTAURANT HAS? Don't worry! You have one of two choices when it comes to this: ask the mod, or do a search on the Disney World website. It's pretty obvious, though, that the food in the countries at EPCOT would correspond to that particular country (example: China would have Chinese food, Mexico would have Mexican, etc.) THE INTERNET: HOW TO ACCESS AND USE IT Wifi is available at all parks and hotels. To access the internet, your character needs to imput their name, and a special password that was given to them in their "welcome packet". After they complete that, they're able to browse the internet, including use of the instant message program that installed. WHAT IS MY CHARACTER'S SCREEN NAME FOR THE IM PROGRAM? Their screenname is the same as their journal name you've chosen. For example, Castiel from the Supernatural fandom's would be 'angeloncellfone'. If the journal name has one or more underscore, those would not be used in the screen name for the character, and will be replaced with spaces. For example, Toshiko Sato from the Torchwood's fandom would be 'warped inside'. HOW MANY COMMUNITIES DOES THIS GAME HAVE, AND WHAT ARE THEY? Twisted Kingdom has three game communities:
